We have the pleasure to inform you that Albania Broadband Day was held on 28^th of September in Tirana, Albania.

Different topics were presented about the current and future trends in telecommunication and broadband industry.

The event started with an official opening and greeting from ASI’s CEO Mr.Goran Ljubic. He gave a nice overview about ASI’s work in the past 5 years.  As ASI – Alternative System Integration DOO is celebrating its 5^th birthday, Mr. Ljubic presented 5 discounted offers. 

Then, Mr. Attila Pester from Teleste presented Teleste’s products and solutions and mentioned that currently they are focused on End – to – end rail solutions, which enables operators to provide passengers with rich information and entertainment services. It also guarantees the safety of passengers and operations by improving situational awareness.

Mr. Goran Poposki from ATX Networks presented “VidiPlay Complete End-To-End IPTV Solution” engineered for education, healthcare, enterprise, hospitality and entertainment. Ingest, manipulate, manage and distribute a comprehensive channel lineup for the local network.

The differences between IPTV vs OTT with specific focus on ASI’s OTT Solution, were presented by Ms. Ivana Mircheska from ASI – Alternative System Integration. She gave a nice overview over the history of television, starting from black and white TV, to watching multiple contents on different devices at one place. The products and the whole technology needed for OTT (Over – The – Top) to work was explained in details.

Mr. Pavel Katlerov from Eltex, explained how GPON as a FTTx solution works and put and accent on the GPON equipment, OLT and ONT.  Participants had the chance to take a look of the equipment during the exhibition part of the event.

The final part of Albania Broadband Day was dedicated to “power solutions”. Mr. Vladimir Popovic from Energize explained how batteries, energy storages, diesel generators, UPS systems as well as data centers can be of a large interest of all system integrators as well other clients.

The event ended with a really interesting presentation by Mr. Lefterys Strofyllas. Batteries as a must in the Telecom Industry, plus power and utilities, are creating the new challenges in the industry.
